Does anyone know how

to remove the TVA splash screen from kodi 17.3?

I know a clean install would do it, just afraid if i did I may
not be able to get my addons to work....I had a hard time when all the crap started getting Exodus to update sure don't want to have to go through that again.

hm... cant say explicitly about TVA as i never used that repo for anything but normally you'll find the splash screen inside the kodi/media directory which may vary depending on the device your running kodi on...

normal linux systems put kodi into the /usr/share/ directory and the media directory is inside it... so /usr/share/kodi/media...

the file is probably called Splash.png

Android boxes typically have a read only file system installed so the image file needs to have its sources altered and then the image repacked and reflashed to the box... but anything like a normal computer should be as simple as find kodi and its media directory and change the png...

hope that helps...

Right click Start button and go to RUN

Type %APPDATA%/kodi/media into the run box exactly and press enter.

you should see a splash.png and a skindefault.png as the tva splash and wallpaper.

delete both.

LOL don't blame you!! I know more about parts of Kodi than I do about Windows 10 and trust me I know a lot about previous operating systems!!!
