IMHO few people will be caught up in the preloaded boxes legal situation.
This case just may be the tip of an iceberg or a one off.
My guess is a few governments will experiment.
But governments want to keep quiet about their spying into a person's private life.
Big Brother is watching.
Sellers need to be careful about what is on their preloaded boxes.

As much as i wish that was true, the reality is those companies own most of the internet infrastructure the average user uses to connect online and demands made by agency's such as the NSA and CSIS along with multi country alliances such as Five Eyes (FEVY) they can pretty much stop what the want if they really wanted to, legal or not...

when things were more low keyed they may have been aware but action probably didnt justify the cost, but all thats changed now as everyone and their dogs are selling boxes claiming free tv... can't kick someone in the nad's and expect them to not re-act and we already got legislator just looking for reasons to justify snooping on people...
