T95Z Plus and AV Port
« on: July 12, 2017, 10:07:00 pm »
Hello let me preface this by saying I am very limited in my knowledge of Android boxes, Kodi and technological matters.

Recently purchased a T95Z Plus box and wish to use it on an older TV with no HDMI port. I have a AV cable that I used on my older box and planned on using it with the new box.

I connected the power to the box and and inserted the AV cable into the proper port, I heard it click into place and then plugged in the correct coloured plug to the corresponding port on the TV.

When I power on the box it turns on but there is no image being displayed on my TV.

I've tried some troubleshooting: I tried switching the plugs and ports thinking it might of been wired wrong, I've unplugged and reconnected all cables from the box itself as well as the ones that hook into the TV.

If anyone can help me out it would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!

I came across this site when I googled the issue...

https://www.google.ca/url?sa=t&source=web&cd=2&ved=0ahUKEwj4gbLFmIbVAhVE9YMKHZBFDbwQFggNMAE&url=https%3A%2F%2Fforums.androidcentral.com%2Fandroid-tv%2F626901-android-tv-box-mxiii-4k-does-av-port-work.html&usg=AFQjCNE5VAq9giKUF5NtUGlUFFaXPnmKOw

Not sure if this will work but it doesn't hurt to try

One answer could be that the A/V ports only activate when you power up the box with the cables connected to the TV first
