Clear Kodi Cache
« on: July 14, 2017, 09:27:11 pm »
I was wondering if there is a way to clear your cache files in Kodi. Like most I'm sure, I used the maintenance tool in the Indigo addon. Even after tvaddons went down I was still able to use the 'clear cache files' within that addon, but now it doesn't even show up.
Is there another way to still clear cache files?

lots of "maintenance tools" available: most wizards/programs have a subsection i.e. Ares Wizard > maintenance tab or Community Portal > maintenance etc etc  http://www.ares-project-blog.com/kodi-technical/kodi-maintenance-myth/

Many addons themselves have their own cache removing process. For example Exodus you go to Tools from the first menu and Clear Cache is an option.
This only clears the cache for exodus however.

I like Raw Maintenance program addon. Not sure off hand which repo its found in but seems to do a good job.

It's more important to delete the thumbnails than the cache.
The Community Wizard add-on should clear the cache automatically by default which is a step up from Indigo !
