[SOLVED] No audio for some streams.
« on: July 18, 2017, 11:48:23 am »
Situation: Dell Optiplex 745 PC > Windows 8.1 - 64bit > Kodi Krypton 17.3 > Covenant 1.1.2 Add-in === No audio for some certain streams including the latest GoT episode.

Solution: Windows 8.1 installed "High Definition Audio Driver" which worked for every other stream in Kodi except the last 2 streams of Game of Thrones. Went to Dell Support web site and downloaded and installed the Analog Devices SoundMAX specific driver for 64-bit Windows Vista and rebooted. After reboot ran Kodi settings > Audio > and ensured The HD SoundMAX audio device was selected.

Result: Game of Thrones audio is now working normally!

Thanks Kodi community!

nice to see you got it to work...

sometimes its the codec the guy ripped the streamed source down to... i find downloaded movies a lot of times since people started ripping to the H265 standard sometimes act up or fail to play audio without making sure your player's got the right one fed into the right audio driver for your device... sometimes as well if your using a box with kodi to a tv panel sometimes you need to just switch the tv input to something different then switch it back to the hdmi port you got the box on for it to switch to the right one...
