Personally I think it's better to set up portable versions like this

That's a great way to do things especially if you want to try different VERSIONs of Kodi!

Here's just a slightly different twist...not poo-pooing Tony's video...just another way.

Simply rename the Kodi folder inside C:\Users\user_name\AppData\Roaming (Like Kodi_Old)

Start Kodi and it builds a fresh Kodi folder!

Wanna switch back to your old install, just rename Kodi_old to Kodi AFTER you rename your new Kodi folder to something different. (Like Kodi_Fresh)

I'd be wary on using on my laptop. Rather the big screen, but each to their own  :o

I have about 5 versions running on my desktop mostly for testing. 1 fresh install to test addons with, 1 with my personal build to add updates to, 1 for messing around with different skins, and a couple just because I can. I still watch on my big screens.
