Covenant/Exodus Folders all empty
« on: November 01, 2017, 06:15:56 pm »
I recently installed Kodi on to the new Amazon Fire TV.

I added both Exodus and Covenant and was able to watch TV shows. Today, all the folders are empty in TV shows, nothing is displaying in both addons. All i can see are 3 dots where the shows were previously listed. I have uninstalled and re-installed and I have the same problem. I have updated both addons and they are the latest version.

Does anyone  have any ideas?

Thanks

Try re-authorizing Trakt.

1st if you don't have a trakt account then you can't reauthorize trakt.

No trakt account:
Go to trakt.tv register for free. Write down your user name and password.

(Optional) Install the trakt addon from the KODI repository and setup as to your needs. Installing this addon will keep track of everything you watch and it's status. If you ever have to rescan your library or install Kodi again all your watch status can be restored by starting the addon AFTER you have installed addons and rescanned your library! You can also create custom lists that both addons will be able to utilize for movies and TV Shows! Beware of the Trakt Watchlist! Anything you put in it will be removed once you have watched it! It's for movies you want to watch! So, if you put an entire TV series in it and watch one episode, the entire series will be removed! This is what custom lists are for! I don't use the watchlist. I make lists for Classic TV shows, Classic Movies and break them down into Classic Movies Comedy etc.

(If you have a trakt account or if you just got one)

Next, open the settings for Covenant. Scroll down to "Accounts" Click on "Authorization" under the "Trakt" heading and follow the instructions. You will need a web browser opened as you will need to access trakt.tv/activate. Do the same for BOTH these addons. You may as well go to the other sites and get API keys as this will make the addons perform more efficiently. Keep the API info written down or in a text file on your device as you will need it at some point in the future!

Neither of these addons will work very well, if at all, without setting them up properly!

You need these APIs:

Fanart TV - When logged in go to https://fanart.tv/get-an-api-key/
tmdb - When logged in go to https://www.themoviedb.org/settings/api
trakt - Once logged in go to https://trakt.tv/oauth/applications This one is tuff to do and confusing.
IMDB member NUMBER: Join IMDB (free) once logged in click on your user name and select Activities. Now
look in the address bar on your browser you'll see the number you need for the addons. You can also create custom lists on this site as well.

i.e.
Code: [Select]
http://www.imdb.com/user/urXXXXXXXXX/?ref_=nv_usr_prof_2The "X"s represent your user number.

The other accounts listed in the settings are not NEEDED but will only enhance the addons if you use them. If you activate them you will probably have more HD sources available.

If your IP blocks sites you'll have issues getting sources. Don't know your geographical location so if it happens you'll probably need to pay for and setup a VPN.
